A Quick Summary of 3 to 3

As with so many Psi U events, work must happen before play. Thus, the requisite torturing of Alumni, Undergraduates, and pledges. This meeting was a general meeting to discuss the House Expansion Criteria -- basically the ground rules that will govern the Executive Council's go/no-go decision on House Expansion, first in January, and at the April meeting. For exhaustive details on this, visit The House Expansion Criteria Report

Thanks to heroic attempts at brevity, and motions by Jim to table all items (including reading the minutes from the last meeting), this tumultuous meeting was kept to a brief 2 hours, 15 minutes. The expansion criteria were discussed, and only slightly amended from the original proposal put forth by the committee.

Someone mentioned that this was the first time they'd actually seen a committee work correctly! Maybe we're starting the get the hang of all this, after 20 years!

Faces grow grimmer as the seconds, minutes, and hours tick by....Chocolate chip cookies help break the tension as we approach criterion 7...

But, after all that talk, we are rewarded by dinner at the house....
AND PIE!!! Brother Manthey once again went to the limits with a wide variety of apple pies, and other delicious treats! The weather was delightful, allowing for a picnic style meal for everyone on the lawn. We made great use of the pledge project, a picnic table designed by John McNeil.

It's rare to see a fraternity function where milk is the primary libation. Gotta love it.
Old farts abounded. Some faces rarely seen outside of composites made an appearance.

Youngings too...It's truly rare to see a triple piggyback. Of course, they're not all that young -- they've all graduated now.
Lurene makes at one of the new pledges, Erin Mack -- a Aero in the class of 2005.

But I ask you -- doesn't Al Mattedi, EI 374, kind of look like Ed Novak in this picture?
But soon the serious business of sipping and card playing took over from the lawn antics of the young. Here, Patrick is introduced to the serious business of cribbage. Note that Brother Hartley is EI 500!

Some choose not to sip...
But you see what happens if you suck too hard? Fish face!

Beef pontificates at the Troy Brewing company where snacks and good times were had by all.
