PSI U HOOTS

Mike Kendra, EI 260, says he is still working for Radex, Inc. with the bulk of my funding coming out of Hanscom AFB. He moved to Merrimack, NH three years ago and re-married. His wife's name is Karen.

Bob "Bumper" Corell, EI 334, and his wife, Sue, are expecting a baby boy. The due date is May 3. Coaching has also been very successful for him this year. Bumper is the assistant coach of the Varsity Boys Ice Hockey team at Princeton High School, which reached the state quarterfinals. He is also the Head Coach of the only public school Varsity and JV Girls Ice Hockey team in the State of New Jersey, also at PHS.

Ted Berger, EI 339, says they are currently packing for a three year tour in Yokosuka, Japan (about 30 miles south of Tokyo). Ted leaves on the 8th of May. Cindy will be staying behind with the boys to allow them to finish the school year and then they will be joining him during the summer. Anyone traveling to Japan in the next three years is encouraged to look them up. They'll be happy to entertain or provide tours of local attractions. (Editor's note: The Buddha at Kamakura is a must see.)

Ingrid Berkholtz, EI 340, writes: "I'm still in Minnesota, still with Alliant Techsystems, but have shifted from things that blow up to GPS receivers. I've been on the road with a hidden agenda to connect with friends, acquaintances, and EIs. So far I'm 1.5 for 2. The LI railroad didn't wait for Matt Stratton, EI 351, so our rendezvous in the Big Apple went sour. Had better luck in Tucson, where Doug Prinn, EI 424 and I connected for dinner. Allegedly, Doug is moving back to Massachusetts, compliments of his employer ... again. The future holds more trips to EI inhabited cities, so you just never know. Maybe DC, LA, Tucson, Seattle, and Indianapolis are on the docket, and the latter two are for fun. Hopefully there'll be trip to Germany sometime this year."

(Nicholas was born on December 10, 1998. He is 16 months, now.) Professionally, things are not going so great. In January I resigned as general manager of the Vichem Color division of Nicholas Plastics over differences in opinion with the new president; i.e., the owner's son. So I am in the midst of a national job search. If anyone is aware of someone in need of a marketing executive in the plastics, adhesives or chemicals industries, I am available. (Feel free to mention this in the newsletter.)

Jeff then took on a Cardiology fellowship and began having children. Current count is 2 boys, Nikolai who is 6 and Alexander who is 3, with one more in the oven; hopefully a girl this time. He's currently working in Oceanside in a two-man practice that is going well, and will hopefully make partner in the practice in another two years.
