Undergraduate President's Report (Garret Rooney)

The Greek Forum happened on March 25 & 26. This was a grand gathering of stakeholders in the Greek system at RPI aimed at setting the stage for revising the Greek Relationship Statement.

The same weekend the Challenges and Choices retreat failed to happen. Miscommunication between Henry Poor and the undergraduates resulted in a last minute debacle. The retreat will be scheduled for the Fall.

Rush: There are 5 pledges and 3 outstanding bids. The bids are not expected to be signed.

Undergraduates are urged to rush diligently.

House Occupancy (JJ Johns)
House will be filled in the summertime. The house will most likely have six out of seven spots filled for the 2000-2001 school year, due to the usual issues with co-op. There is a possibility of full occupancy depending on how things pan out. The undergraduates are working on it.

There will be 5 graduating in the Spring of 2000 and 1 in December of 2000. Graduation numbers for Spring 2001 due to Co-op and class schedule wrangling.

It currently costs $200 less to live at 2140 Burdett than in a dormitory.

State of Repair to the House (JJ Johns)
Everything works and is clean.
The front door screen was patched.
The front railing is to be welded together.

Scholarship: Psi U is 3rd in the DOSO Scholarship rankings.

Philanthropy: Blood Drive, Beman Park cleanup, Poopa Troopa drop off CII during ( a frigid) GM Week. Proceeds donated to the AIDS Council of NE NY.

Risk Management: Risks are being managed. No news to report.

Treasurer (Cara Godfrey): See Report. There are still some alumni with large outstanding debts. Cara is told to get legal contracts to secure this debt. The undergraduates are urged to seek the aid of a collection agency for one alum's debt.

Undergraduate Report Approved.

Alumni Reports

House expansion (Jamie Muhr): See Report. "Garrett's Little Wall" stays. "Divot" at back of 2nd floor hallway stays for door clearance. Driveway paving: After house expansion. Motion to approve plans. Overwhelmingly approved. Yee-ha. Estimated cost: (No Joke) $147,000.
Jamie Muhr to find out the cost of building a new structure from scratch to compare to the estimate. Detailed plans will be forthcoming from the architect now that we have approval for the preliminary ones. Options for drainage from beneath/around the house: Jamie will investigate. Bobbi Hunter notes that there are special grants available to aid projects using recycled/"green" materials. Jamie will also look into this. House Expansion committee report approved. A motion to approve an additional $2000 for detailed plans is also approved.

Fundraising (Ernie Daniels) $47K fund pledges and or contributions as of a few weeks before Founder's: $26,000. Two more bed and plead letters are going to go out. Fundraising Report approved.

Finance (Mike York): The company known to specialize in financing Greek organizations, known as Olympus Financial is out of business. Micheal is contacting RPI on the buy back clause in the deed as well as perhaps financing.

Publications (James Hinsey): There's a Psi-U Material (Whoo-hoo)! There is also a planned issue for summer. (EE-Yikes!)
